Missouri: The "Hard Edit" EVV Transition

Missouri’s EVV soft launch warns providers: unmatched or unverified visits will soon trigger hard claim denials.

The Hardship: From "Learning" to "Denied"

Missouri's "Soft Launch" of EVV claims validation began on January 7, 2026. During this period, claims without a matching visit in the EVV Aggregator Solution (EAS) are still paying, but they are coming back with "Warning" remark codes. For providers, this is the final warning before "Hard Edits" begin later this year, where no match means no money.

RCM Insight: The "Verified Status" Bottleneck

The primary reason for "No Match" errors in Missouri isn't a lack of service—it's that the visit in the EAS portal is not in a "Verified Status." If your caregivers aren't closing out their shifts properly in your vendor's app, the data never reaches the state aggregator. RCM teams must now perform a "Pre-Bill Scrub" by logging into the EAS to ensure every visit is "Verified" before hitting the submit button on the claim.
